TESTING

Functional Testing

We recognise the valuable role that functional testing plays in enhancing the precision and effectiveness of personalised health interventions.

Functional testing removes guesswork, allowing us to understand what is going on in your body and how it is functioning - it helps to identify or exclude underlying causes of symptoms. This allows us to tailor nutrition and lifestyle recommendations with greater precision. It is important to note that we do not diagnose specific conditions, however, testing serves as a valuable tool in ruling out potential disease. It also helps to establish a baseline measure, aiding in tracking progress through interventions.

GUT MICROBIOME ANALYSIS

Our gut microbiome is hugely important to our health and wellbeing. Imbalances are linked to everything from gut troubles such as IBS and bloating, to low energy, anxiety, low mood, and hormone imbalance. So, microbiome analysis can be instrumental in improving health in various ways.

ADRENAL & STRESS HORMONES

Adrenal dysfunction and stress can be an underlying driver to chronic fatigue and burnout and may also contribute to sleep problems, anxiety, weight gain, and digestive problems. Testing can provide valuable insights in to imbalances in stress hormones that may be impacting your health.

THYROID TESTING

The thyroid is essential in maintaining overall health and well-being, and is involved in everything from energy levels, mood, and weight, to cholesterol and female hormones. Therefore, thyroid dysfunction can be behind a wide range of symptoms.

Testing typically includes measuring levels of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), thyroxine (T4), triiodothyronine (T3), and sometimes additional markers like antibodies and deficiencies in selenium, zinc and iodine.

NUTRITIONAL DEFICIENCIES

This type of test often involves analysing blood or urine samples to measure nutrient levels and determine if they fall within optimal ranges for proper bodily function. Results from such testing can guide personalised dietary and supplementation strategies to address any identified deficiencies and improve overall nutritional and health status

WELL WOMAN HEALTH PROFILE

This health screening provides insight in to a wide variety of conditions. Testing typically includes screenings for hormone levels, nutrient status, inflammation markers, and other factors relevant to women's health. The results of this test help identify potential imbalances or risk factors, allowing for personalised interventions to optimise health outcomes and support overall well-being throughout different stages of life.
